The Open Source Curation Database OSSelot: How to curate and contribute

Part I: How to curate license information for OSSelot: The common and the unexpected, Caren Kresse, OSADL
In order to make OSSelot even more versatile and to be able to license even more complex embedded systems based on OSSelot documents, more packages need to be curated than can be provided by OSADL alone. Therefore, it is an important step for the scalability of the curation database to motivate external contributions to OSSelot. This addresses companies that already curate their own packages in isolation, but could do so in collaboration with OSSelot. The advantage is that the company can benefit from an external review and at the same time the OSSelot pool of curated software packages can grow – probably without significant additional effort for the contributing company. This video explains how this may work best.
Part II: How to contribute to OSSelot, Oliver Fendt, Maintainer of the OSSelot project repository and Astrid Spura, OSADL
This video will also – same as the above – cover the expertise and tools needed to contribute to OSSelot. It will show what the contribution and review process might look like. This talk will be given by the Oliver Fendt, the maintainer and main contributor of OSSelot and Astrid Spura, OSADL, who shares her personal experience with the OSSelot contribution and review process.
